In 2007 I began experimenting with the application of a timeless lace making technique, called needle lace, to wire work. I have had so much fun with this technique that I have become obsessed with it. It makes for a highly detailed and very unique piece. This page showcases all of my needle lace necklaces available for sale.
This very fine specimen of fiery labradorite is netted in endless feet of gold fill wire. Fiery blue flashes through the golden netting making for one eye catching piece. A 4mm faceted sea opal (also known as opalite) embellishes the net adding to the ethereal luminance of the pendant.

This lovely turquoise pendant reminded me of the watery globe speckled with continents. The shape of the stone made me think of Mother Nature's tears for our lack of responsible stewardship to her lands. It was only natural to name the pendant Gaia's Tear after this line of contemplation.
The turqoise tear drop is 24 x 30 mm and about 6 mm thick. It's wrapped in hair thin sterling wire worked in a needle lace stitch with a single swarovski element worked in for sparkle. I antiqued it with LOS and polished until my fingers were falling off. It is on a 16" sterling chain
This pendant was featured in Step by Step Wire magazine in the Summer 2008 issue.

I call this piece the Rainbow Sky. A rainbow is a sign of hope and promise, and yet it cannot exist without the rain, which is often equated with adversity. I spent some time contemplating how the rain is essential to the rainbow. Within every difficult situation, every trial, there is a rainbow. Consider the uses of adversity. We can use the adversity in our lives to grow stronger and to build character if we recognize it for the opportunity that it is. These promises are alive in the rainbow.
The amazonite is such an incredible blue .. it's like a slice of the sky. A literal rainbow of tundra sapphires frames the stone which is captured in a needle lace netted bezel setting. A solitary blue topaz dangles at the bottom of the piece, representing the rain or adversity which eventually allows us to realize the promise of the rainbow.
The chain has a rainbow of tundra sapphires sprinkled througout and can be finished in any length specified from 14 inches to 21 inches. Specify your preference upon ordering.
Pendant measures just shy of 1 1/2 inches tall and just over 1 inch at it's widest point.
Carry this inspiration with you and never forget the promise of the rainbow.
